Audiovisual education is a teaching model
combining technology products and teaching contents in accordance
with the teaching theories and cognitive psychology. Following the
technological advancement, instructional media can be duplicated,
used repeatedly, and become ubiquitous. As the goal that there is
a computer for every class in every school will soon be realized,
multimedia instructional resources will be the mainstream of learning
in the 21 st century. Here is a brief description of the service content
of the Audio-Visual Education Division. for the user's better understanding.
Mission
1.Collection, collation, survey, analysis, R&D,
production, circulation, and promotion of various instructional media
and data from home and abroad for instructional to use in their teaching.
2.Implementation of the instructional media information
network and digitization of instructional media and materials for
users' access and search over the Internet.
Tasks
1.
Procurement of quality education videos
from home and abroad; adding translation and voice-over
to these videos.
2.
Gathering
media publications from schools and social education organizations
through exchange or free-of-charge.
3.
Soliciting award-winning
media works by teachers for reproduction and promotion
4.
Research, development
and production of media for different disciplines based
on the syllabus of elementary and high schools.
5.
Production of videos on
designated topics: traffic safety, special education and
teacher training.
6.
Production of videos on
academic speeches and education conferences.
7.
Planning and production
of media on EQ education, structured education theories
and practices-by combining new findings in academia and
media characteristics.
8.
Reviewing, license-issuing
and promotion of educational videos.
9.
Integration of instructional
media and resources collected by NIOERAR and implementation
of the MOD system.
10.
Development of instructional
media information network resources and establishment of
the lifelong learning environment.

Enquiry and instruction
of use of instructional media and NIOERAR guided tour service.
Future prospects
1.
Research
and development of multiple media materials in accordance
with the education policies and curricular development.

Strengthening the gathering,
collection and promotion of educational media and integrating
educational resources home and abroad to develop into a
well-established instructional media resource center.
3.
Implementation of the
ubiquitous and convenient network system and creating the
lifelong education environment to facilitate the fulfillment
of the goal:a computer every class in every school.
4.
Providing instructional media
for private textbook developers in accordance with the Copyright
Law for resources sharing.
