Display and Sale
The display area located on the ground level of this centre has publications
(paper or CD-ROM) by the Ministry of Education and the NIOERAR in
an open shelf format. These are provided at cost price, please contact
the display area service desk if you need any assistance. |

Reading books
and journals at NIOERAR
In the showroom on 1/F, the information search and reading areas on
2/F of this center, books relating to education in China, books on
specific educational topics, educational periodicals and journals
are displayed in open shelves. There are also computer systems for
data search over the Internet and seats for reading inside the center.

Teaching media appreciation
In the showroom on 1/F of this center, there is a multimedia on demand
service. In the multimedia service area on 2/F of the center, there
are 3 individual viewing seats and 4 group viewing seats for browsing
instructional media inside the center. |

Instructional media check-out
There is a collection of over 15,000 units of instructional media
in the multimedia service area on 2/F open for check-out by teachers.Each
teacher can check-out up to 6 units each time for 2 weeks. If an extension
is needed, borrowers can apply for a renewal of a term of 1 week to
the center over the phone before the due date. Teachers from outside
of Taipei City and Taipei County may apply for instructional media
check-out by phone, fax or email. Teachers from Taipei City and Taipei
County may apply for borrowing media check-out by post. The NIOERAR
will pay for delivery postage and the borrower for the return postage.
Teachers in Taiwan are welcome to check-out instructional media from
us. |

Instructional media commissioned copying
Instructional media developed by the NIOERAR are open for commissioned
copying for personal use. The NIOERAR will charge a reasonable service
fee. For videotapes purchased overseas, the commissioned copying service
is open only for schools to be used as a teaching aid inside the school.

for groups and individuals. Please contact our information center

Educational resources online search and appointment
service
Titles of all collections, including books and instructional media,
of the NIOERAR have been digitized and open for online search. Licensed
publications have been scanned for online reading. Should you need
online search of the NIOERAR collection or reading/borrowing appointment,
please make your search and appointment on our website at http://192.192.169.100

| Our service standard

Teachers may apply for instructional media and
material check-out service in person any time at the ERASC. Teachers
from outside of Taipei City and Taipei County may apply for instructional
media check-out by phone, fax or email. We will send the requested
instructional media to your school within 3 days from the acceptance
of applications. |

After making an official application for commissioned
copying of the instructional media to the ERASC, applicants will receive
the copy of the requested instructional media within 2 weeks from
the date of application. |
